Hi Rebecca! We got them in Avignon at a camping store. Can't remember the exact name now, but it was near the historic center and resembled a French REI. The man working was very helpful in making sure we got the right map (there are many walking routes/many maps). But I'm sure you could order one online for some advance planning, too.
