Let’s talk summer travel. Tell us where you’re going and I’ll send any recommendations I have. I hope others do the same! Ask for suggestions, share your own––favorite boutiques, must-eat foods, useful before-you-go intel, etc.
I’ll start: going to Puglia in June for a wedding. These are some of my favorite places, but always looking for more. Then going to Greece for another wedding. I’ve only been to Athens, years ago, so seeking any and all tips for a three-week trip. Favorite islands? Restaurants? Wineries to visit?
I love Western Crete! Stayed for a month in Chania, did a fabulous overnight trip to a village on the South coast/Libyan Sea called Loutro which is only accessible by ferry boat. We paid 65 Euro for a breezy sea-view room with a balcony and spent the day snorkeling, lounging, and eating Sfakian cheese pies and fresh seafood. Its plucked right out of a movie and not very touristy, and we loved it! Have fun, wherever you end up!
I'll be going to Switzerland (Zurich, Grindelwald/Interlaken, Geneva) and Portugal (Albufeira, Lisbon, Sintra)! Would love recommendations if anyone has any.
I haven't been to Puglia or Greece, but they're on my bucket list. A three-week trip in Greece sounds amazing - Mediterranean cuisine is one of my favorites!
We spent a month living in Grimentz, Switzerland, and it was an absolute highlight of our nomad journey. The hiking was incredible, the Alps were incredible, the prices were ... incredible. LOL. But it was definitely worth it!
I am sure you'll love Puglia! I'm embarassed that we'd never heard of it before spending a month in Matera, but we loved exploring it. Seems like an amazing place for a wedding.

This all sounds amazing. Thank you so much!! Even if we don't make it to Crete this time, definitely saving for a future trip.

Oh fun! I don't have a ton of Switzerland recommendations but I LOVE Portugal. It's been a few years and I'm sure there are so many new, amazing spots I don't know about, but these are some things I liked - https://rebeccalholland.com/road-trip-guide-food-portugal-porto-lisbon-coimbra-lagos/ Have so much fun! Can't wait to see photos!
So many great recommendations and tips in your post, thank you! I can’t wait to explore for myself!

Lol so expensive, but so pretty!
I about choked when I saw a burger for thirty Swiss franc. Let's just say we did a LOT of cooking at our coliving place....
Haha I've definitely been forewarned about the crazy prices there! Can't wait to hike and see the Alps. Grimentz looks beautiful!
As far as my own travel, I am heading to Newfoundland for 2 weeks in July, if anyone has any tips!
My favourite island in Greece is Ikaria. Had many good meals but Thea's Restaurant, near Nas, was especially memorable and has gorgeous views.
Amazing, thank you!!
