Hello! 

Four days out of Chicago and I can tell you something I know I’ll miss: the breadth and diversity of excellent food, in every neighborhood, at all times of day. Chicagoans are spoiled by some of the world’s best chefs and being able to eat hyper-regional cuisine whenever they feel like it. Not to mention very cool wine lists and cocktail bars across the city. (Favorite bar list coming soon.)

Already missing Chicago ⬆️

My favorite restaurants aren’t necessarily the “best” in Chicago. There are many places that are delicious and have flawless service and have deservedly won accolades. I would eat at them again in a heartbeat, but they’re not listed here for various reasons. There are dozens of places I always meant to visit but never got to.

These are simply some of my favorite places that I think about often, bring friends to, and frequent again and again for a mix of quality, service, and in some cases proximity to my house. I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few and I’ll update as they come to me. I’ll also update whenever I visit and try new places, so feel free to check back from time to time.
